Itron Inc. establishes a Global Business Service Centre in Cork

Minister for Jobs, Enterprise and Innovation Richard Bruton TD today announced that Itron, Inc., a world-leading technology and services company dedicated to the resourceful use of energy and water, is establishing a Global Business Services (GBS) centre in Cork, creating up to 40 jobs by the end of this year. The investment is supported by the Department of Jobs, Enterprise and Innovation through IDA Ireland.

Itron is a global company headquartered in the US, but has deep roots in Europe, including various manufacturing and professional centres located throughout Western and Eastern Europe. The Cork GBS centre is the product of the company’s strategic efforts to consolidate and centralise select compliance and accounting processes.

The company is seeking experienced professionals to join its Cork team in its new facility in City Gate Park, Mahon, Co. Cork. Open positions will include accounting, financial controls and financial administration.
