“The past three years have been really positive and it is a testament to our employees that demand is still very high, so we are delighted to continue our growth and development,” he said.
“However, the current demand for consultants highlights that there are very positive aspects of the Irish economy, although there is still a big national challenge in reducing long term employment.”
Mr McGennis said industries which have a high demand for new staff include IT, financial services as well as multilingual and life sciences.
Sigmar Recruitment underwent a management buyout in 2009 and has doubled in size since then.
Meanwhile in Clare, 40 jobs are on the way with the construction of café-restaurant Zest in Bunratty.
The jobs had been on the cards previously, but planning permission for Zest was stalled.
An Bórd Pleanála has now given the go ahead to construction at the old Avoca site with work set to begin early next year.
Spokesperson for parent company EFG Inflight Catering Ean Malone told Clare FM they have confidence in this investment.
“We do believe that the economy has turned the corner a little; we are seeing – I don’t like using the phrase ‘green shoots’ – but we are seeing growth in not just our retail units but also with the business at Shannon Airport as wel,l” he said.
“We certainly are kind of confident about the future,” he added.
