Mercury wins Zurich Equinix construction contract
Irish-based construction company Mercury has announced that it has reached a framework agreement with Equinix to build and fit-out its new ZH5.2 data centre project in Zurich.
This follows on from Mercury successfully completing projects for Equinix in Dubai, Frankfurt, Geneva and Zurich.
The announcement was made during this week’s Enterprise Ireland trade mission to Switzerland, which was led by Minister for Research and Innovation, Seán Sherlock.
The project is due to commence in July 2014 and be completed by December 2014.
Frank Matthews, executive director of Mercury, described the contract win as “another tremendous vote of confidence by a leading international datacentre provider in Mercury’s ability to execute complex, fast-track International projects”. www.mercuryeng.com
