Accenture €25m investment will create 200 jobs
Accenture is expanding its Irish operations and establishing a Centre for Innovation in Dublin industry.
The company will invest more than €25 million and recruit 200 professionals with R&D and design expertise in cognitive computing, Internet of Things, advanced analytics, security and digital marketing.
Ireland has become a technology hub in Europe and is a rich source of highly skilled talent in science, technology and engineering. Given this, Dublin is the perfect location for our new Centre for Innovation….said Jo Deblaere, Accenture’s chief operating officer and chief executive—Europe.
Taoiseach Enda Kenny commented:The fantastic announcement by Accenture of a €25 million investment to create a new innovation centre, with the creation of 200 new highly skilled jobs, is a welcome endorsement of the Government’s strategy on ICT. Since we entered office, the Government has prioritised new initiatives to support emerging technologies through the establishment of new research and technology centres and expert taskforces.
