Ernst & Young seeking a further 150 graduates.
Ernst & Young has stated today that it will seek a further 150 graduates for its 2013 recruitment campaign.
“While Ernst & Young continues to hire a large number of graduate employees, our focus remains on recruiting top talent who will help drive our growth now and protect that growth into the future,” said Mike McKerr, managing partner at Ernst & Young. “In return, we offer graduates the opportunity to work directly with some of the largest organisations in Ireland and internationally.”
“As we are recruiting the future leaders of the firm we are looking not just at academic achievement, but for those who are ambitious, diverse and entrepreneurial and who can bring new ideas and help drive important projects,” said Jim Ryan, people partner, Ernst & Young.
Almost 50pc of the participants in the firm’s most recent graduate programme had previously participated in its internship scheme. The company takes on up to 80 interns and work placement students annually. They work for a period of between three and 12 months while in college. At the end of the internship programme, successful interns can return to their final year in university with the possibility of a job offer.
As Ernst & Young is a global firm, each year as part of their internship programme the firm gives two interns the opportunity to attend the Ernst & Young International Intern Leadership Conference in Disneyland, Florida with over 1,300 other interns from Ernst & Young worldwide. This allows students to network with other interns and the company’s global leadership team and demonstrates the global reach available when in a career within E&Y.
The closing date for 2013 applications is the 17th Oct 2012.
