IDA Ireland wins international award from The Site Selectors Guild

IDA Ireland (IDA) has been awarded Best International Economic Development Organisation Award this year from The Site Selectors Guild. IDA received the award for its professional support to site selection projects that IBM-Plant Location International (PLI) worked on with IDA Ireland in the past 12 months, and for its ongoing performance as a ‘best practice IPA’.

Some of the ‘best practice’ areas where IDA Ireland is at the forefront includes, identifying new target sectors and companies at very early stages, working with companies to ensure timely understanding of skills needs and feeding this into educational programs, working actively with intermediates as a separate target group.

Roel Spee of IBM-PLI said
‘Many of the Site Selectors Guild members have worked with IDA Ireland over the course of their career, and have experienced its professional support first hand. Personally, I frequently use IDA Ireland as an example of a best practice IPA when I have discussions with other economic development organisations.”

The Site Selectors Guild is the only association of the world’s foremost professional site selection consultants.  Guild members include Buck Consultants, IBM-Plant Location Internaional, Deloitte Consulting, Wadley Donovan, Terrain Consulting and many more. http://www.idaireland.com/
