Irish Planning Institute Awards to be presented in Dublin Castle, 21st February
The Irish Planning Institute (IPI), the all island professional body representing planners in Ireland, will present the biennial National Planning Awards at a black tie dinner in Dublin Castle on Friday 21st February 2014.
The awards are sponsored by William Fry and the Department of the Environment, Community and Local Government.
Nine awards, including the overall National Planning Award, will be presented. Award categories include: Urban Design and Place Making Award; Heritage Planning Award; International Planning Award and Participatory Planning Award.
The event will include remarks by Minister of State at the Department of Environment, Community and Local Government and the Department of Communications, Energy and Natural Resources Fergus O’Dowd TD and IPI President Mary Crowley.
The Institute received a record number of nominations for the 2013-2014 National Planning Awards. Of these nominations, the Jury have shortlisted 40 plans and projects undertaken by a wide variety of groups including local authorities, development agencies, semi-state bodies, private sector professionals, students and community groups.
