PM Group Announces 250 Jobs in Ireland and Internationally

PM Group has announced the creation of 250 jobs during 2013 as a result of increased work in hi-tech sectors. The Group is looking for experienced engineers, architects, project managers, construction managers, consultants and graduates.  The Group-wide recruitment drive will bring the total number employed by PM Group to over 2000 for the first time.

100 of the jobs will be based in Ireland with the remaining 150 in the UK, Asia, Europe and the US. The Group’s Cork and Dublin offices have filled 50 of these posts in recent months and a further 50 Irish based employees will be taken on by the end of 2013.

PM Group employs over 1,000 people in Ireland and its client list includes large blue-chip multinational clients such as Abbott, Boston Scientific, GSK, Glanbia, Pfizer, Johnson & Johnson and Novartis.

The announcement was made by PM Group’s CEO, Dave Murphy who said “Our company  is celebrating it’s 40th year in business this year and we’re delighted to celebrate it by adding to our workforce .  We are looking to fill new positions in the pharmaceutical, food, medical technology and ICT sectors and have roles for experienced professionals and graduates across a range of disciplines.”

“Our growth over the past few years, despite the difficult conditions in the construction industry generally, highlights that there are jobs and opportunities in providing highly skilled services to the high tech sectors both here and internationally.”

Welcoming the announcement, Minister for Jobs, Enterprise and Innovation, Richard Bruton TD said “Today’s announcement of 100 Irish jobs by PM Group is a great example of how companies in the engineering and construction sector can grow jobs in Ireland by focussing on the hi-tech sectors at home and in international markets. A central part of the Government’s Action Plan for Jobs is developing policies that can support increased employment in the construction sector, and in the most recent CSO figures we saw that employment is once again growing in this key part of the economy. Today’s announcement is another step toward achieving our objective of creating a sustainable, jobs rich economy based on enterprise, innovation and exports”.
