Energia renews €300k deal with Mothercare

Energia is to supply electricity to 22 Mothercare sites in Ireland as part of a renewal deal worth over €300,000.

The sites include St Stephen’s Green, Carrickmines, Blanchardstown Shopping Centre, Eyre Square, Crescent Shopping Centre Limerick, Mahon Point Cork and M1 Retail Park Drogheda.

The maternity retailer has chosen to use green renewable energy from Energia. Energia has contracted 25pc of all wind energy generated in Ireland making it the single largest source of green power.

Laura Ward, marketing director at Mothercare Ireland, said: “We have been with Energia since 2010. With families at the heart of our business helping to protect them through choosing renewable electricity and thus protecting the environment for our future enhances our brand values.”

Energia has a 28pc market share of the Irish business electricity and gas market supplying over 65,000 business customers, including over one in every three shops.
