Collen Strengthens Leadership Team
Collen has announced a series of senior leadership appointments and organisational changes designed to support its continued growth across Ireland, the UK and mainland Europe.
Central to the changes is the establishment of dedicated Ireland/UK and mainland Europe business units, providing greater strategic focus and operational alignment as the company continues to expand its presence across existing and emerging markets.
Mark McGreevy, CEO of Collen, said: “These appointments strengthen our leadership team at an important stage in Collen’s growth. By establishing dedicated Ireland/UK and mainland Europe business units and enhancing our technical, commercial and innovation capabilities, we are creating the structure and expertise needed to support our clients, our people and our long-term ambitions across all our markets.”
Peter Hoey has been appointed Business Unit Managing Director, Europe, with responsibility for leading Collen’s operations across the region as the company continues to broaden its geographic footprint, deepen client relationships and expand its project portfolio.
Supporting the European business, Ger Kelly has been appointed Construction Director – Operations, Europe. Working alongside country leadership teams, he will help drive consistency in project delivery, safety, quality and operational performance as Collen continues to grow across the continent.
Derek O’Connor has been appointed Business Unit Managing Director, Ireland/UK, reflecting the company’s move from a regional structure to a business unit model and supporting its ambitions to diversify and grow across a broader range of sectors in its home markets.
The company has also strengthened its technical and innovation capabilities with the appointment of David Barron as Chief Technical and Innovation Officer. In this role, he will lead initiatives focused on technical excellence, digital delivery, innovation and the adoption of emerging technologies across the business.
Separately, Bruce Greig has been promoted to Commercial Director, Sweden, recognising his contribution to one of Collen’s most active regions and supporting future growth across both Sweden and emerging European markets.
The appointments form part of Collen’s ongoing strategy to strengthen organisational capability, support sustainable growth and enhance project delivery across the international markets in which it operates.
