Ronan Group receives planning approval for Cherrywood Town Centre 3

Ronan Group Real Estate (Ronan Group) has had its planning permission confirmed by Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council for the construction of a mixed-use development at Town Centre 3 (TC3) in Cherrywood, consisting of 198 Built-to-Rent apartments, 12,151 sq.m. of office space and 1,431 sq.m. of café and restaurant space.

The project is next to Brides Glen Luas Stop, with immediate motorway access to the M50 and M11.  The development will prioritise sustainability, through world-class energy efficiency and a focus on liveable communities created through careful placemaking.

The TC3 scheme sits within the Cherrywood development between Cabinteely and Loughlinstown in South County Dublin. Cherrywood is the largest single urban development project in Ireland and will eventually be home to approximately 25,000 people. This is the first step in Ronan Group’s far-reaching residential pipeline in Cherrywood, which will ultimately deliver a new 1.3 million sq.ft. neighbourhood, with 800,000 sq.ft. of office space and over 900 Built-to-Rent apartments. The TC3 site extends to just over 13 acres and is a prime location in Cherrywood, adjacent to the Luas line, and in close proximity to the M50 & N11 motorways and the DART rail link. The site is adjacent to another proposed Ronan Group development at Lehaunstown, a 40-acre greenfield site that could ultimately deliver over 1,500 residential homes.

Gavin Wyley, Head of Residential at Ronan Group, said: “We are delighted to have received planning permission for this exciting development and we look forward to creating a sustainable and liveable community in Cherrywood. This development will provide much-needed homes and residents will have access to some of the best amenities in Ireland, with enviable transport links including Luas, DART and M50 & M11 motorways all nearby.

“At a time of severe national need for housing, Ronan Group is delivering premium homes across Dublin, including at Spencer Place, Dublin’s first purpose-designed Built-to-Rent scheme, which incorporates 464 apartments and 93 co-living units, with first class amenities.  Ronan Group has a current development pipeline in Ireland in excess of 10 million sq.ft. of best in class office and living space, and we continue to set the market standard for real estate innovation and quality.”

Ronan Group is currently developing the new Salesforce Tower at Spencer Place, Dublin 1 which is set to be the greenest Salesforce Tower in the world.  The company is also on site on the new Facebook EMEA HQ at Fibonacci Square, Ballsbridge which will be home to more than 8,000 employees. Together with NAMA, Lioncor and Oaktree Capital Management, Ronan Group intends to develop the Glass Bottle site in Ringsend, Dublin 4, with the potential to deliver up to 3,800 residential units (including 25% social and affordable) and 1 million sq.ft. of commercial space, with extensive community open spaces.
