2019 marks 100 years of quality and World Quality Day is celebrated to recognise the contributions of quality professionals across the globe. World Quality Day is in one sense asking us to step back and look at the intangibles of what quality does — the relationships nurtured as an organisation, and the core values of integrity and honesty that quality promotes. Quality is the basis for economic success of any company, organisation or enterprise and it’s present in every aspect of life. Quality contributes to business success and, ultimately, a nation’s prosperity, and standards provide the tools and processes to ensure it does just that.

ISO International Standards play a pivotal role in supporting Ireland’s continuing economic growth by significantly boosting trade, GDP and creating new jobs. Standards provide an essential foundation to help organisations ensure and improve quality, Caroline Geoghegan, Managing Director, CG Business Consulting comments “World Quality Day was our opportunity to promote and celebrate the importance of quality and the contribution it makes towards business and Ireland’s economic growth.  We wanted to honour the quality profession and highlight the positive impact that quality has on an organisation and to celebrate the achievements of our team and our clients. It is our mission to spread the ‘importance of quality’ to as many businesses as possible, and we thank those who joined us on this momentous day”.

CG Business Consulting is an award-winning consultancy firm with a distinctive approach to working with companies of all nature and size to achieve and sustain ISO Certification in quality, risk and environmental management with certification guaranteed within 12 weeks. Geoghegan also launched the new Irish division of the CQI, where she holds position as Chairwoman, to encourage quality professionals to become affiliated with an official quality body in Ireland.
