Irish Construction Excellence Awards 2018 – Call for Entries launched

The Irish Construction Excellence Awards 2018 call for entries was launched at the Construction Industry Conference on 12 October.

Founded in 1993, and reinvigorated for 2018, the Irish Construction Excellence Awards will celebrate the best in Irish Construction and deliver a rigorous credible process of assessment.

Established by Irish building magazine, the leading construction media brand for Ireland, the Irish Construction Excellence (ICE) Awards will be the most prestigious recognition of excellence and the only truly independent prize for the contracting sector in Ireland.

The Awards will give contractors an opportunity to showcase their capabilities to the industry, clients, and Irish society.

Culminating in a Gala Awards presentation evening in Dublin’s prestigious Mansion House, the Awards will highlight the most outstanding entries across the categories.

This will be one of the most prestigious networking events in the Irish built environment calendar. Ireland’s construction leaders, directors, chief executives and partners from right across the construction sector including design team members and clients will gather to celebrate the pursuit and achievement of excellence in construction.

Judging Process

The Judging Process for the Awards will be in alignment with best practice internationally. Colin Walsh describes the Judging Process which makes the Awards distinctive in rigour and prestige. “A panel of industry experts from the fields of construction, engineering, design and cost management have been assembled to judge the entries. Exclusive to the ICE Awards, our Judging Process will be multi-level including an Interview Stage where shortlisted project teams will sit in front of our expert Judges, present their projects and have Q&A sessions. This level of engagement is not only of great value to the contract team members but also reaffirms the credibility and effort required by the entrants to win these prestigious awards.”
