NDFA Meet the Buyer Schools PPP Bundle 5 – March 1st Carlow
Enterprise Ireland, the National Development Finance Agency (NDFA) and the Department of Education and Skills in partnership with preferred tenderer inspiredspaces consortium, will hold a Meet the Buyer (MTB) event for the construction sector on March 1st focusing on Schools PPP Bundle 5.
This Meet the Buyer event is designed to source local procurement and promote supply chain opportunities to SMEs and social enterprises interested in Schools PPP Bundle 5. The event will provide networking opportunities for local, qualified sub-contractors and suppliers with professional experience in Groundworks, Building Fabric, Civil and Structural, Mechanical and Electrical, Facilities Management, Finishes, Fit Out and Furniture Fittings and Equipment. Through a series of short 5 minute “pitch” meetings, attendees can find out more about the process of becoming a sub supplier.
The 5 schools included in the Schools Bundle 5 initiative are:
· St. Philomena’s National School, Bray, Co. Wicklow (Primary)
· Coláiste Ráithín, Bray, Co. Wicklow (Post Primary)
· Eureka Secondary Schools, Kells, Co. Meath (Post Primary)
· Loreto College, Wexford, Co. Wexford (Post Primary)
· Tyndall College Campus in Carlow will consist of a development that will provide accommodation for post primary and further education students
Attendees at the Meet the Buyer event will be able to meet with inspiredspaces and learn more about Schools PPP Bundle 5. The schools are to be delivered by way of Public Private Partnerships (PPP) arrangements. inspiredspaces is a Carillion Plc / DIF led organisation with expertise in the education and PPP market and it is proposed that the delivery of the schools will be by Carillion Construction Ltd with Sammon Contracting Ireland Ltd as a sub-contractor, and that the management / maintenance of the schools will be through Carillion Services.
