Construction Financing Options Dublin event
The Department of Finance, as part of the Government’s Construction 2020 programme, will host a conference/ networking event to promote awareness and access to the increasing levels of risk capital available for financing viable construction and development projects in Ireland.
The purpose of the event is to improve access to financing for construction and development, the industry needs to make a transition from mainly bank funding to the increased use of equity in financing construction activity.

About the Event
This information and networking event will bring together developers, contractors, equity providers, and banks to consider financing methods and more specifically to:
• discuss the need for risk capital in financing construction and development,
• explore typical financing structures and how to secure development finance,
• introduce providers of risk capital and intermediaries to the development community to facilitate development financing discussions, and
• help establish and strengthen partnerships between developers, equity providers and senior debt providers.
Programme at a glance
Minister for Finance, Michael Noonan TD, will open the event at 9am, followed by an address from Tom Parlon of the Construction Industry Federation and an introduction to how adequate risk capital is required in financing construction and development projects.
A series of short presentations and panel discussions with risk capital providers and senior debt providers exploring typical financing structures and how to work with providers in securing financing will follow.

The networking session, during which delegates and providers can meet to discuss projects and financing options, will follow and run to 1pm.
The event is free, but as space is limited early registration is recommended.
