Internationally Accredited Construction Claims Course returns to Dublin
Hewitt Construction Consultancy, a company specialising in construction contractual matters, construction claims and training on these subjects will once again deliver its 2-day Intensive Training Course on construction claims to construction professionals in Dublin on 21 and 22 May 2014.
Ireland, like much of the rest of Europe has seen a drastic reduction in construction activities, which means that projects for the last few years contain low margins.

In order to protect their ‘bottom line’, contractors therefore need to ensure that they receive their correct entitlement under the contract and this often means that they must submit claims for additional time or payment. If such a claim is to be submitted it is essential that it is done in an effective manner. Consultants whose responsibility it is to respond to claims also need to respond in a way that explains the decision and avoids the matter being elevated to a dispute.
The course is designed to provide those representing contractors and clients with the knowledge necessary to manage, prepare, present and respond to construction claims in an effective and professional manner.
The course developer and presenter, Andy Hewitt, Principal of Hewitt Construction Consultancy, commented on the decision to bring the course to Dublin a second time and said, “Since the first Dublin based course in 2013 the Claims Class name and what we do has spread which led to enquiries about future Dublin courses. Since the first one was such a success we decided to visit Dublin and deliver the course once more”.
