Output in construction rises 11.5 % in Q4

According to figures released by the Central Statistics Office, The volume of output in the building sector has increased 11.5 % year on year in the Q4.

The CSO said the increase reflected a year-on-year increase of 34.8 per cent in non-residential building work, and a 14.1 per cent in residential building work.

While, there was no change in the volume of output in building and construction in the fourth quarter of 2013 when compared with the preceding period, output increased by 11.5 per cent year on year.

Output in civil engineering fell by 1.1 per cent over the same period.
