Turnover up 5% for Mason Hayes & Curran in 2012
Leading Law firm Mason Hayes & Curran has announced a turnover of €44.4m in 2012, a 5pc increase on the previous year, according to figures supplied to The Irish Times.
The firm, which employs 304 people, including 65 partners, said 2012 was the 10th consecutive year of turnover growth.
“Although conditions remain challenging we are experiencing positive growth in sectors such as technology, food, energy and financial services,” said managing partner, Emer Gilvarry.
“We concluded a number of major projects last year including representing the Commission for Communications Regulation onthe successful 4G auction, which was the culmination of four years’ work and widely considered as one of the most important and successful State transactions in 2012.
“We also began advising on a number of other strategically important matters such as the Kerry Group R&D facility to serve EMEA customers and the rollout of postal codes for every building in Ireland. These remain challenging times for law firms with clients understandably seeking more for less.
“The legal sector is intensely competitive which means we have to give good value to clients and control our own costs. This competitiveness is good for the economy with high levels of expertise and a good range of choice available for the purchasers of legal services in Ireland.”
