Ashview Consultants, one of Ireland’s leading business risk management consultancies, has appointed Ben Byrne as Managing Director.

With offices in Dublin, Newry and London, Ashview Consultants works with clients across the world to optimise their performance by identifying, assessing and mitigating risks that could impact their business operations or their workplace health and safety standards. This includes operational, financial, business, compliance and health and safety systems as well as industry-specific challenges. Client sectors include construction, aviation, transport, commercial, pharmaceutical, hospitality, retail, residential, logistics, data centres and student accommodation.

Ben Byrne joined Ashview Consultants seven years ago as a Director and has a wealth of experience in managing diverse teams, overseeing complex operational and compliance processes, and ensuring seamless project execution.

In his new role, Ben will collaborate with the wider Ashview Consultants team to partner with clients, design teams, and contractors around the world to ensure projects across diverse industries are delivered efficiently, safely, and in full compliance with all regulatory standards.

He will also work closely with Founder and CEO Paul O’Shea to drive broader business growth, expand Ashview Consultants’ risk management strategies and services, and support the delivery of high-quality, safe, and effective outcomes across Ashview Consultants’ broad project portfolio.

With nearly 30 years of experience in the built environment industry, Ben previously held a variety of senior roles in the sector including Senior Health and Safety Officer at G&T Crampton for almost two decades and Group Health and Safety Officer with Height for Hire, a leading machinery access company, where he oversaw safety standards across multiple regions. Ben was also Sa enior Health and Safety Officer at John Paul Construction, where he was responsible for developing and implementing health and safety policies in line with industry best practices.

Ben holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Building Construction Technology from the Technological University Dublin and a Postgraduate Diploma in Health and Safety in Construction from Trinity College Dublin. Ben is certified in Project Supervisor Construction Stage (PSCS) and Project Supervisor Design Stage (PSDP) from the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (CIF / IOSH) where he also lectured on the PSDP, PSCS and Managing Safley in Construction courses for the CIF.

Ben has also served as Chairperson and Branch Secretary of the International Institute of Risk & Safety Management (IIRSM), a non-profit professional organisation for occupational health and safety practitioners worldwide. He is also a Volunteer at TAG Meath Autism Group and a Community First Responder and Co-chair for Navan First Responders.
