Irish development and investment group Ardale Property have lodged a planning application to develop a prominent site adjacent to Clarehall Shopping Centre, for what will form phase 1 of an overall scheme with a total Gross Value of in excess of €25m.

The site, which was formerly known as the Crossan Motor site, is beside the Tesco Extra store on the Malahide Road.

The proposed development comprises a convenience retail store of over 2,000 square metres. The proposed store is located at first floor level with undercroft parking at ground floor level 75 car parking spaces will be provided overall.

The application lodged by Ardale also seeks permission for a public entrance plaza at the Malahide Road pedestrian entrance and the provision of 11 bicycle spaces.
