Theo Cullinane retires from BAM Contractors Ltd
Theo Cullinane, the Chief Executive of BAM Contractors Ltd, is to retire from his role in June of this year.
Mr Cullinane, a chartered engineer, has worked with BAM for 43 years, 13 of these years serving as CEO and chairman of Royal BAM Group’s operations in Ireland.
‘It has been an honour for me to spend my full professional career working for Royal BAM Group. I would like to thank the Executive Board for their steadfast support on the many developments and new initiatives on diversification and sustainability over the years. I thank my colleagues and partners for being on this journey with me, and our clients for being so supportive of our work over the many years’, Mr Cullinane said.
‘I will continue to dedicate myself to the organisation until June 2022 to ensure an orderly transition’, he added.
Ruud Joosten, CEO of Royal BAM Group, thanked Theo ‘for his very significant contribution to BAM Ireland and to the Group, while a member of Royal BAM Group’s Management Board’, adding that his ‘commitment and dedication to its members, colleagues and clients has been exemplary’. ‘During Theo’s tenure, which spanned the financial crisis of 2008 and the current pandemic, BAM has developed into a market leader in the development and construction of large-scale building projects in the Public, Private and PPP sectors while maintaining its position as leader in the civil engineering market in Ireland. BAM is now well placed, as a construction company and employer of choice, for the future development of our business in Ireland’, he said.
Following a detailed recruitment process, of both internal and external candidates, Mr Cullinane’s replacement is at an advanced stage of the process and will be subject to a future announcement.
