Mercury has just announced the appointment of Paul Knowles as Project Controls Director. Paul is responsible for leading and overseeing the Project Controls function within Mercury.

This includes developing a strategic plan for the Project Controls function to meet the needs of the business; overseeing the monthly contract review process and ensuring that key stakeholders are updated on all project risks, opportunities and commercial implications associated with projects;  and developing processes and procedures to enhance the commercial control of the business.

Paul joined Mercury last year, initially working on a large Life Sciences & Advanced Technology project in Dublin, before being promoted to his current role. Prior to joining Mercury, Paul worked for 20 years, holding a number of senior management positions within Kentz (part of the SNC Lavalin Group), working across Southern Africa, the Middle East and North America, where he was responsible for managing business units. Paul holds a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Quantity Surveying from the University of KwaZulu-Natal in Durban, South Africa.
