CJK Engineering strengthens management team with appointment of Declan Murphy as Managing Director
CJK Engineering, a leader in the Electrical Engineering Services sector, has appointed Declan Murphy as Managing Director. Declan also joins the CJK Board and will work closely with Conor Kearney, who established CJK Engineering in 1998, to further the development of the company in the expanding electrical engineering market.
Due to continued growth, the company is on a recruitment drive to grow it’s headcount by 20%, this year, to over 160 people. CJK is actively recruiting graduate engineers, quantity surveyors, safety officer, project managers, electricians and apprentice electricians. In addition to recruiting from the labour market, CJK is also engaging directly with 3rd level colleges and secondary schools to attract the best suitable candidates for the roles.
Declan Murphy will join CJK Engineering, on the 23rd October, from G4S where he was Managing Director (Ireland). Declan sold his own business, DML Fire Systems, to G4S in 2012 and previously held a senior management role in Honeywell.
Conor Kearney, CJK majority shareholder, takes on the new, full-time role of Executive Director of Strategic Planning & Development. The CJK Board will also appoint a non-executive director in the coming months.
CJK Engineering’s clients include UCD, TCD, ESB, Aer Lingus, APC, Accenture, Egis (Dublin Port Tunnel), Coca-Cola, Jazz Pharmaceuticals, The Dublin Airport Authority, The OPW, IBM, Irish Distillers/ Jameson, State Street and CRH. The company’s portfolio of current projects includes the Pre-boarding Zone at Dublin Airport’s Terminal 2; new head offices for the VHI; the upgrade of Belgard Castle for CRH and the redevelopment of the Donnybrook House office block.
