Priority Construction – First in Ireland with new Komatsu units

Priority Construction, one of Ireland’s leading civil engineering contractors, has taken delivery of two new Komatsu PW148-10 wheeled excavators, the first of their kind to be sold here.

Supplied by Komatsu distributor McHale Plant Sales of Birdhill and Rathcoole, the new machines have been put to work on roadwork projects being carried out by Priority in Charleville and Enniscorthy.

Powered by an EU Stage IIIB Komatsu SAA4D107E-2 engine, the high-spec PW148-10 has been designed with a significantly reduced tail swing of 1.8 metres to meet the demands of confined work sites such as urbanised areas, road or sewer construction, where space is limited.

Available with a choice of boom styles, arm and undercarriage attachments, the PW148-10 can be configured to match specific demands and can be equipped with a parallel-moving dozer blade, engineered to stabilise the machine without damaging the road surface.

Established more than 40 years ago with its headquarters in Dublin and an operational base in the Galway village of Kilimor, Priority Construction has built a strong reputation as a leading civil engineering contractor, both in the public and private sectors.

Since its first Komatsu purchase in 1996, the bulk of excavators and dozers purchased by Priority Construction has borne the Komatsu name.
