€20m Waste Water Treatment Plant for Cavan Town
A new €12m Waste Water Treatment Plant for Cavan and a €8m contract to refurbish and improve the towns waste water treatment system.
Earlier this year Minister Phil Hogan, T.D. approved a new €12m Waste Water Treatment Plant for Cavan and a €8m contract to refurbish and improve the towns waste water treatment system.

Councillor Val Smith, Cathaoirleach of Cavan County Council said that these contracts will ensure that the “highest of environmental standards are complied with and most importantly will ensure that the town has significant capacity to expand and develop in the future”.
Councillor Smith welcomed the fact that the network improvement contract has been awarded to local company P & S Limited. “Local people will be employed in important project for the town giving it a much needed cash injection”.
A public information meeting was recently held with local business . It was confirmed that P & S will shortly commence works on the network.
